MEETING IN HUNTSVILLE, TEXAS ON AUGUST 24, 2013

MINUTES

Trustees present: Brian Martin (Concord), Marcia Ross (Pine Tree) and Ethel Benedict (Bertram).

Property Adjoining Bethany Church Property (Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana)

Legal paperwork has been prepared to donate 5.12 acres, more or less, in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana adjoining the Bethany Cumberland Presbyterian Church property to Urson S. “Bill” Bacle and his wife Clotile Walker Bacle. This is the same property that the Bacles previously donated to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The Trustees unanimously agreed to execute this agreement. Each trustee will sign and notarize the agreement.

Bethany Church Property

Legal paperwork has been prepared to donate two tracts of land (one containing 3.5 acres, more or less, and one containing two acres, more or less) in Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana to the Bethany Cumberland Cemetery Management, Corp., a non-profit corporation with a registered office mailing address of 458 Bethany Cumberland Presbyterian Church Road, Fairview Alpha, Louisiana 71019, represented by Shelby Gardner. Mineral rights are reserved.

The Trustees unanimously agreed to execute this agreement. Each trustee will sign and notarize the agreement.

Bethany Cumberland Presbyterian Church Manse

1. This property will be put on the market to be sold.

Ethel Benedict and Rose Mary Magrill have agreed to an on-site visit to transact business regarding the sale of the manse and land. It is hoped that Mr. Bill Bacle and/or Mr. Shelby Gardner will facilitate the presbytery’s retrieval of session records and access to any bank accounts still in existence.

2. Trinity Presbytery has received a letter from Shelby Gardner, Sr. requesting that the manse and land be donated to the “Bethany Cemetery Board”. Trustee representatives Benedict and Magrill will contact Mr. Gardner as the representative for the Bethany Cumberland Cemetery Management Corp. As a gesture of goodwill and cooperation, ten percent of the net proceeds of the sale will be offered to the cemetery corporation.

3.The Trustee representatives will attempt to determine a tax valuation on the property through a tax office, title company or real estate firm.

4.The Trustee representatives will, if necessary, contact the law office of Bethard and Bethard for assistance.

Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church Property, Metairie, Louisiana

1. A list of realtors in Metairie and surrounding area will be obtained through Nancy Abernathy (Pine Tree). A realtor or realtors will be contacted in an attempt to determine a fair market value of this property.

2. Brian Martin will send a certified letter to the United Church of Christ who has been using the property and paying rent on it. The letter will inform that group that the Faith Cumberland Presbyterian Church has been dissolved by Trinity Presbytery. It will iterate that the relationship with this church congregation has been an enjoyable one and will inform them that the property will be placed on the market for sale. The letter will ask if they would like to make an offer to buy the property. It will also advise them that they are welcome to continue to use the property while it is on the market.

Respectfully submitted, Ethel Benedict, Secretary
